( ink under cut )
This was a request from a friend of mine. There were very specific elements that had to be included; the geisha, dragon back tattoo and cherry blossom imagery.
I created a tiling pattern for the fabric, and a simple scatter brush for the flowers on the tree.

I don't read a lot of superhero comics, but I recently decided to check in on my childhood favorite, the Green Lantern Corps. It is no wonder, then, that green lanterns started showing up in my sketchbook.
...
I also took a screenshot if you were curious what size I work at in photoshop.

( Ink under the cut... )
In the past couple of days I've seen a couple posts on my friends list exhorting everyone to draw Galactus, Devourer of Worlds.
Alright, I say, this 'Galactus' is a sexy dame right? Well too bad, because that's what I'm going with.
She can devour MY planet anytime. Aw yeah.
...wait, what? |

I'll see her standing by the monorail she'll look the same except for bionic eyes. she lost the real ones in the robot wars. I'll say "I'm sorry" she'll say "It's not your fault ...or is it?"
I drew this while listening to "The Future Soon" by Jonathan Coulton
It is the classic love story. Boy loves girl, girl spurns boy, boy builds robot army and brings about the downfall of humanity.
Girls with Bionic Eyes, Officially the new Girls with Glasses! The video on YouTube. |

Just a little doodle from the sketchbook I felt like coloring. I thought I was going somewhere for a bigger drawing but the idea dried up. |

( ...ink under cut )
If I had to pick a couple things I like about Seattle, it would be the coffee shops and artschool girls.
I was downtown this weekend for Emerald City Comic Con and saw one such girl, an odd cap pulled down tight over the unruly curls of her brightly dyed hair. For a brief instant our eyes touched, and then I was past and well on my way, but her image stuck with me. |

Our Lady of the Immaculate EULA
( Bare Ink behind cut )
"...and lo, the End-User will appear; he shall break all factory seals, and all warranties shall be Void." -The Manual, Appendixes C Paragraph 9
In the far future after all humans are gone, leftover robots might read their product manual and take its dire warnings against the End User as prophecy of the end times.
But is the end user the savior or the destroyer?
... This could also lead to some interesting creation myths, '...and on the seventh day the Server was down for maintenance,' kind of thing. |

Little doodle that got out of hand. Space girl!
I put in the stars using a couple different size scatter brushes and made them glow by duplicating the star layer, gaussian blurring it, then setting the blurred layer to linear dodge. Hooray photoshop. |
